Miss Itumeleng Masetle – Board Executive Chairperson
Itumeleng Masetle
South African born 1992
BA (Development Studies), Hons (Sociology)
During my academic years, I had to volunteer in a Non-Government Organisation as part of a module. Since then, I have never looked back at landing-a-hand.
Since 2013, I have been committed in my involvement to the NGO/NPO sector, seeking sustainable ways and models that can empower young people. After graduating in Development Studies and Sociology, I got involved in many community development initiatives involving orphaned and vulnerable children & youth (OVCY) projects within both rural and urban areas. Through my years in coordinating and facilitating community programmes, I have gained great understanding of many community dynamics, socio-economic and health issues affecting these communities.
And with this, I can say that it is our responsibility as the Catalyst Movement to facilitate the introduction and transition into the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Technology will assist in addressing the many issues in our communities. My extensive work in research has also allowed me to confidently believe that our work at the Catalyst Movement will greatly contribute to the Research and Development Industry in highlighting important factors that need focus in the integration of technology in our society as a whole.
